We met for the first time in August 2025 at Camp Crimson, an OU orientation class.

We really began talking once our mutual friend Vivi added us and another friend to a group - as we all had the same major.

Ethan and I would see each other outside of class and talk as we waited for our classes to begin and our little group of accountants quickly became friends. Our group would hang out at school events and we would each host board game nights.

A couple of weeks later, (according to Ethan) he was “struggling” in his accounting class so I offered to tutor him. We met at the Bizzell library that evening and ended up staying there and talking for hours about anything but homework. We even went to Campus Corner for Cane’s chicken as a late night snack. That was our first date!

After that first date, I had him over a few times for dinner and to play video games and watch movies (we’re both introverted so this was better than going out). On our third or fourth date he decided to show off his photography skills so he asked me to model for him in the Biz.

We had fun taking photos but when we walked out of the building someone was actively stealing his bike! Ethan calmly walked over and took the bike out of the man’s hands, and we spoke to OU PD to tell them about the attempted theft. What a blessing we walked out at the right time!! Afterwards, we biked back to my apartment and watched a couple of movies (he showed me one of the saddest movies I’ve ever seen that day).

That evening we attended the Oklahoma state fair, and on the way back his truck broke down! By the time my dad got to the scene it was already one in the morning. We laugh about it now and talk about what an adventure we had that day.

We’ve had such an amazing time getting to know each other and now we’re ready to take the next step in our relationship! Thank you to everyone who has supported us and contributed to where we’re at now, we can’t wait to see you at the wedding!!!
